The magazine is the idea of Jack Hayler and Jamie Webster; we are two friends, that are relatively young and with two well-known magazines falling away, we wanted to fill the void and bring new life into how the magazines have been done in the past. Both of our fathers introduced us into engines, as they have always had collections from when we were growing up. We both have engines also, Jack having the bigger collection out of the two of us. Jack's current favourite is his Allan Brothers Oil engine and Jamie's is his 1911 Lister L type. We are Enthusiasts, so hopefully you will get behind us, so that we can bring you this new and hopefully improved magazine. Both of us will give you updates on what we have been getting up to with our engines as well, in each Editorial.
We want to get more youngsters involved in the hobby to keep it alive, and in doing so, will try to highlight youngsters that are getting involved.
We of course, will keep your best-loved events up to date, engines big and small from across the board. Also we will include Restoration series and interesting Technical information; plus a Newcomers’ section for the newbies to the hobby to give them information, and much more.
We want to bring films/videos of engines to you as well in due course, to keep the legacy that Pat Knight and Tim Macaire have done with their engine videos. These we feel, are a great source of learning and without any being on sale for a good number of years, any newcomer will not have had the opportunity to be able to learn more about the hobby.
As a new magazine we need as much support as possible from you the readers, so please help us by Subscribing today to get your year’s worth of magazines. Unlock a treasure trove of content from around the world of Stationary Engines.
